I’m Shirley, a professional translator with over 9 years of experience and a freelance social media manager based in Singapore. When I started out as an independent translator, I quickly realized that being on your own means handling everything yourself — from admin and accounting to customer service and project management. Like many solo business owners, it was truly a one-person operation.
In 2024, I embarked on a new journey by completing a diploma course in digital marketing. It was a completely different world from translation, and I loved how it challenged me to think in new ways. Despite the differences, translation and social media share one core principle: clear, concise communication.
Having been a solo business owner for nearly a decade, I understand the realities of limited time, tight budgets, and juggling multiple responsibilities. That’s why I decided to help others who want to build a social media presence but lack the time, energy, or resources, or simply aren’t ready to hire a full-service agency.
